A few thoughts on this path we travel, I won't go into the defining of Strega/Stregeria, the link is more thorough, so I will leave you to that. As for Wicca that too is well defined, and again I will leave that for someone else to define. It all comes down to working in a harmony with the natural forces that exist on this plane of existence. So much power from the Earth, so much wisdom through the ages, so much confusion that it becomes diluted and lost amongst the ignorant and fearful. I think we should ignore them for now and focus our minds on using what powers we have to live in todays world. Hey, this is where we are now, not in the past. We maybe regrouping our friends from other lives and such, but today is where we practice what we have gathered. Let us go from here into a rich and full existence.
The ways that I learned came to me unexpected and through many years of exploration. I first learned about witchcraft from a young woman when I was fifteen. I had run away from home and was heading down the coast of California when I caught a ride from the afore mentioned person. It was late and durring the course of our conversation she knew I had nowhere to go etc, etc. She took me in, and this was my first experiences with a witch. Yes, she was in to White Magic. I spent a number of months with her and her friends and learned agreat deal. The term Wicca and not entered into everyday vocabulary at this time. Stregeria, I knew about but didn't understand till later in life. I am Sicilian and my aunts would whisper such things about the la Vecchia, mostly in Italian so as not to be understood. Many things co-inside with our journey,and to go on about my life right now would become an autobiography. So for now I will leave it there. I have known many practioners of magick over the years, and have come to know that I appreciate the energies as they flow through our lives. Many never have seen themselves as involved in Wicca/Occult things. Many just think of themselves as philosophers, some have visions some just are intuitive, what ever the case, we all meet eachother on this path. I had to be responsible enough to reconize what I had experienced and to store the information, not always knowing what I would use it for. I hope you can become aware of things/persons around you who knowingly/unknowingly guide you along. Life's lessons are but a breath of wisdom from the Goddesses/Gods, hold them sacred.
I feel that learning to arouse and excite the senses creates an abunance of energy that can be enjoyed shared and used in magick, where it's for spells or just to remove negative energy from the air or others. Stimulating the sense of smell can release memories from the past. Early childhood thoughts come back that were forgotten. Images of feelings from past experiences too can become foremost in the mind. I am fond of aromatherapy, and have started to include some pages on the subject. I find that there are a number of things that one should induge the body in to create a calming and centering of the soul. I have added a number of recipes for bath salts, and body lotions in a couple of different sections. Please enjoy them. I do update quit often so Please check back. Any recipes/formulas/Spells that you would like to share, I would be happy to include as I update. Please include your experience with them too, it would be nice to here about them.
