Bonding

Note: This is NOT a caging ritual because both participants must
be voluntary. it is impossible for this to work unless both persons
are willing.

1. Sit in a comfortable position in front of a table with your
elbows resting on the table top and your palms up.

2. Have the person to be bonded with you sit on the other side of
the table. have him rest his arm on yours in a comfortable position.

* You must BOTH be completely relaxed and at ease. If either of
you is tense or nervous this will not work.

3. Speak,"Now I want you to close your eyes and inhale deeply."
Pause for a moment. "Now slowly exhale and release all the tension in
your body."

* Must be done by BOTH. 3 repetions total is recommended but go
with your feelings. A simple phrase such as "again" will suffice for
the 2nd and 3rd runs.

4. Speak,"Now open your eyes and look into mine." (Do a "reading"
of the bondee using whatever technique is familar with you.)

* This is the most difficult part of the entire ritual. All of us
have natural shields. Trust is a 2 way street. You must CONSCIOUSLY
lower your own shields BEFORE you can expect them to do the same for
you.

5. Speak, "We are 2 souls, 2 minds, travelling down life's
road. It has come to us to be closer than most. Allow me to travel
with you as I allow you to travel with me. Mind, body, soul, all are
as one. We are 2 souls destined to act as one. Travel with me be my
guide as I shall be yours. Let us not be two but one reflection of
another one mind, two souls, moving closer, ever closer never to part,
We are 2 acting as one. Allow your natural shields to lower as I allow
mine to go down for you. etc...

* The words here are not the important thing you will find as you
get into the "spirit" of this ritual that it will NEVER be exactly the
same twice.

* It is unfortunate but true that the only way a TRUE bonding will
hold is if BOTH of the parties literally FORCE their way through the
others shields. This may seem unethical, maybe even unmoral to some,
but remember this ritual CANNOT be used on any but the most willing.

6. When you have gone as far as you feel is safe/productive there
need to be a definite ending. The age old words "SO MOTE IT BE" I have
found effective. However feel free to use your own. Once again it's
not the words that matter but the technique.

This is a Druid recipe

Love Potion Tea

1 pinch of rosemary
2 teaspoons of black tea
3 pinches thyme
3 pinches nutmeg
3 fresh mint leaves
6 fresh rose petals
6 lemon leaves
3 cups pure spring water
Sugar
Honey

To make another person fall in love with you, brew this tea on
a Friday during a waxing (moving from empty to full to empty) moon.
Place all ingredients in an earthenware or copper tea kettle.
Boil three cups of pure spring water and add to the kettle. Sweeten with sugar and honey, if desired.

Before drinking, recite this magical rhyme:

BY LIGHT OF MOON WAXING
I BREW THIS TEA
TO MAKE [lover's name] DESIRE ME.

Drink some of the tea and say:

GODDESS OF LOVE
HEAR NOW MY PLEA
LET [lover's name] DESIRE ME!

SO MOTE IT BE
SO MOTE IT BE

On the following Friday, brew another pot of the love potion
tea and give some to the person you want to love you. He or she will
soon begin to fall in love with you.

Okay so now you want out

Fall out of Love Spell

Get one red and one black candle, preferably figure candles (red
female and black male) from a local occult store. Name the candles for
the two of you. Tell the red one that you do not receiprocate her
feelings. Wish her well and that she finds the right one for her.
Visualize her finding the right person for her and being happy. Start
burning the candles back to back, moving them a few inches apart. Let
the candles burn for about 15 min. while you visualize the breakup of
this "relationship". Visualize both of you being happy with others.
Move the candles apart a few inches more each day, while you relight
the candles and continue the meditation. At the end of a week, take
the candle ends and bury them somewhere in earth, visualizing the
break.

Version 2 of Anti Love Spells

1. Get a cup full of rose petals, and a half a cup of mandrake.
2. Boil the roses, take out the water and put it in a vase or glass
that you can cork up.
3. Dry the rose petals (in a Microwave is fine) and on a night
where the moon wanes very close to new...
4. Light a large fire, cast a circle (or whatever cleansing you
do), and when read pour the mandrake and dried rose over
a fire.

Speak into the night:
"I call to the storms
I call to the breeze
To scourge the ground
and bend the trees

I summon Cerridwyn
Morgana and Aine
to take my love, away from me.

May he find love,
true and pure,
but with him, no longer
shall I endure

For my own good
if harming none
Ash'te Savant'
the spell is done!"

5. Leave an offering of some of the water for the Sidhe.
6. Mix ash from the fire in the rest of the water, cork
and burry. Binding is a good idea. If you ever want
him to return, break the spell and call him.

Centering & Grounding: how to

Centering & grounding are among the first techniques that
one should learn to avoid damage to the environment and themselves.

Here is how I describe the process to others.

When you are giving someone a backrub, sometimes the muscles running
up and down along the spine are bunched up into tight cords. You must
gently but firmly work those cords back into flat sheets, by pressing
outward from the spine. Centering is like that.

Close your eyes, and think about your body. Normally, you perceive
yourself as living in just the central core of your body. Extend
outward and fill up the rest of your skin. Make sure that there isn't
any room for anything else.

Grounding could happen next. Keep extending yourself outward, beyond
your skin. Reach downward, to the earth, or upward, to the sky. Both
"grounds" are useful for dissapating various kinds of unwanted
energy.

The most direct means of centering and grounding I know: Take off your
shoes and stand in dirt (no floors, no concrete, just the skin of
Mother Earth). Now, visualize your energy flows seeping into the
soil, using the energetic flow to connect the spine, down through the
legs, into the Earth. Keep that connection going deeper and deeper.
Sometimes, I get a mile or more below the surface (although I
recommend against reaching for the magma!). Five-ten minutes of that
can work wonders; it is especially nice for someone who is--in the
moment--spacey, flighty, and out-of-sorts, or reeling from the assault
of just too much "stuff" to cope with.

CASTING THE CIRCLE ONE
Set up : place a candle in each of the four cardinal directions. Lay the rest of the tools on the altar cloth or near it. The altar can be on the ground, a table, a rock or a stump. The altar should be in the center or just north of center of the Circle. Light the six candles and the incense, start the music and begin the ritual.

THE RITUAL Facing North, the High Priest and Priestess kneel in front of the altar with him to her right. She puts the bowl of wateron the altar, places the point of her athame in it and says: "I exorcise thee, O Creature of Water, that thou cast out from thee all impurities and uncleanliness of the world of phantasm; in the names of Cernunnos and Aradia" She then puts down her athame and holds up the bowl ofwater in both hands. The High Priest puts the bowl of salt on the altar, puts his athame in the salt and says: "Blessings be upon this Creature of Salt; let all malignity and hindrance be cast forth hencefrom, and let all good enter herein; wherefore so I bless thee, that thou mayest aid me, in the names of Cernunnos and Aradia." He then puts down his athame and pours the salt into the bowl of water the High Priestess is holding. The High Priest then stands with the rest of the Coven outside the Circle. The High Priestess then draws the Circle with the sword, leaving agap in the Northeast section. While drawing the Circle, she should visualize the power flowing into the Circle from off the end of the sword. She draws the Circle in a East to North or deosil or clockwise direction. She says: "I conjure thee, O Circle of Power, that thou beest a meeting place of love and joy and truth; a shield against all wickedness and evil; a boundary between men and the realms of the Mighty Ones; a rampart and protection that shall preserve and contain the power that we shall raise within thee. Wherefore do I bless thee and consecrate thee, in the names of Cernunnos and Aradia." The High Priestess lays down the sword and admits the HighPriest with a kiss while spinning him deosil and whispers "Bless Be". He then admits a women the same way. Alternate male female male. Then the High Priestess finishes closing the Circle with the sword. She then names three witches to help strengthen the Circle. The first witch carries the bowl of consecrated water from East to East going deosil, sprinkling the perimeter as she/he goes. They then sprinkle each member in turn. If the witch is male, he sprinkles the High Priestess last who then sprinkles him. If female she sprinkles the High Priest last, who then sprinkles her. The bowl is replaced onthe altar. The second witch takes the incense burner around the perimeter and the third takes one of the altar candles. While going around the perimeter, each person says: "Black spirits and white, Red spirits and grey, Harken to the rune I say. Four points of the Circle, weave the spell, East, South, West, North, your tale tell. East is for break of day, South is white for the noontide hour, In the West is twilight grey, And North is black, for the place of power. Three times round the Circle's cast. Great ones, spirits from the past, Witness it and guard it fast." All the Coven pickup their athames and face the East with the High Priest and Priestess in front, him on her right. The High Priestess says: "Ye Lords of the Watchtowers of the East, ye Lords of Air; I do summon, stir, and call you up to witness our rites and to guard the Circle." As she speaks she draws the Invoking Pentagram of Earth in the air with her athame. The High Priest and the rest of the Coven copy her movements with their athames. The High Priestess turns and faces the South and repeats the summoning: "Ye Lords of the Watchtowers of the South, ye Lords of Fire; I do summon, stir and call you up, to witness our rites and to guard the Circle." She does the same pentagram and then faces West and says: "Ye Lords of the Watchtowers of the West, ye Lords of Water, ye Lords of Death and Initiation; I do summon, stir, and call you up, to witness our rites and to guard the Circle." She faces North with rest of the Coven and says: "Ye Lords of the Watchtowers of the North, ye Lords of Earth; Boreas, thou gentle guardian of the Northern Portals; thou powerful God and gentle Goddess; we do summon, stir and call you up, to witness our rites and to guard the Circle." The Circle is completed and sealed. If anyone needs to leave, a gate must be made. Using the sword, draw out part ofthe Circle with a widdershins or counterclockwise stroke.Immediately reseal it and then repeat the opening and closing when the person returns.

Ritual of Casting Sacred Circle
Many times we are asked "how do you cast a circle ?" There are so many different was that this can be done. Differs from each Tradition to the next. Even within our own Avaloian Tradition we make improvisions on this. The main factor is to cast a sacred space. A space that seperates this world from the other. A space that we ourselves make holy. And that is what is important. A space that you set aside from all else, to glorify and exhault. For you are the one casting, cleasning, purifiying, and setting it aside from all else.
Before you cast, one should make sure of the intent of casting. Ask yourself why you are doing it. Once you have this the gathering is made easier. If you are doing this with a group of people one must be chosen to be the Lord or Lady. The Lord or Lady ussally has one person who waits them. This is not to say the Lord or Lady is higher than they, but the fact that they shall be the God/dess incarnate. You may also do this solitary. Depending on the amount tending.
The Lord/Lady has the sword brought to them. All else are standing outside where the circle is to be cast. The Lord/Lady takes the sword and walk deosil (clockwise) around the space to be cast. The wait has a small bell with them. Begining at the East, the sword, in a non-threating manner, is raised. The wait rings the bell. All fill fall silent. Moving clokwise the Lord/Lady salute each direction. If there are four novices present each will stand to the directions as the Lord/Lady passes
. Lord/Lady: Let all those that wish to partake enter ye now ! (the bell is rung) Everyone enters by stepping forward (no actual circle has been cast yet)
Wait: My Lord/Lady all those that wish to partake in this Magickal Rite are now present. I pray you, cast the Sacred Circle.
Lord/Lady: What thou doth sees makes here this night, shall be forever within this circle. So Mote It Be !
(When anyones speaks the So Mote It Be or Blessed Be, all shall repeat it)
Again at the East, the Lord/Lady takes the sword and draws within the ground or upon the floor the circle saying as the pass...
"I draw this magick circle let no evil or ill will cross its mark."
Once the Lord/Lady has reached the East again, They take the sword and place it upon the shoulders of the novice, and say... "be thou the guardian of this gate... I call, I summon, I stir oh ye spirits of Air, come forth now I pray thee and wittness our Rite. So Mote It Be!"
The Guardian answers: I am he/she the guardian, no evil or ill will shall pass by me, My Lord/Lady.
The Wait rings the bell
The Lord/Lady goes to each quarter and perform the same, on each guardian. The Wait will ring the bell as each guardian answers.
Once the quarters are called the Lord/Lady goes to the centre of the circle as the Wait preforms the cleansing of the circle with salt and water. Incense can be used instead of salt and water mixture. The Lord/Lady summons the spirit of the Great Lady and the Great Lord by saying....
Great Lady witness now your children who stand before you in Perfect Love and Perfect Trust. Standing East, with the incensor the Lord/Lady says.... Great Maiden Come To Us..... All repeat....

Standing South, with the torch or candle the Lord/Lady says.... Great Mother Come To Us.... All repeat... Standing West, with chalice of wine or water, the Lord/Lady says... Ancient Queen of Wisdom Come To Us.... All repeat... Standing North, with the salt, the Lord/Lady says.... Brother Come To Us... All Repeat... Drumming, rattles, any form of music making can be added to this. As you can take note there really isn't any particular God or Goddess called, this is the Avaloian Tradition. All Gods are one God, all Goddesses are one Goddess.

Releasing Anger

For this ritual, you will need some quiet time, a red candle, a black or a white candle, paper and writing implements, a container in which to burn paper, and matches. Any other symbols, magickal gear, or accoutrements you wish to bring to the ritual are yours to choose; I'm just presenting the bare bones. Once you have gathered your stuff and set up your quiet space, you will want to call in a circle to protect yourself, and to protect others from the energies you plan to release. Face the east, and call upon the air to help you express your rage clearly, to help you focus mentally while you release your emotions safely within the circle. Face the south, and call upon fire to help your rage burn up and out of you, burning away the past and the trauma that has enraged you. Face the west, and call upon the water to help your emotions flow freely within the circle, cleansing your spirit and restoring yourself. Face the north, and call upon the earth to allow you to safely ground your rage, and to sustain and support your through the releasing process. As you call in the directions, visualize a circle of white light forming around your working space, shielding you and protecting you with the elements you've called in. (I have sometimes found that it also helps to call upon the archangels to further strengthen the circle--Raphael for east, Michael for south, Gabriel for west, and Uriel for north--if your beliefs trend that way.) Then when you feel the circle is secure, call upon the Higher Powers in whatever form you relate to them to work with you and shield you through the course of the ritual. Now, light the red candle. By its light, begin to write or draw what it is that is enraging you, whether it be some form of emotional abuse that trashed your worth as a person, sexual abuse that made you into an object, physical abuse that broke your body's connection with your mind, or whatever. Focus on making the issues clear to yourself and the Higher Powers that you've called in. Focus on how the actions made *you* feel, not on the other person's guilt or motivations, or on revenge on the other person. (You can do this part ahead of time, if you want. I wrote a long letter to my mother explaining exactly what I remembered and felt out of our abusive relationship, being careful to keep it in "I-statements" and not start blaming her. Blame may be necessary for some folks, but until you release the rage within, I feel that you cannot assess blame rationally and safely.) Next, hold the paper between your hands, focus your awareness on the red candle, and begin to chant, shout, scream, or make whatever sounds help you to feel the rage come up and leave you. Send the rage into the red candle. Focus your rage on the red candle, watching the flames burn brighter and hotter as the force of your anger fuels them. When you feel that you've released the red rage as much as you can, light the papers on which you've drawn or written your problem and drop them into the container so they can burn out. (Do remember to put something under the container to protect the surface it rests on--we did this ritual as a group a couple of years ago and caught the carpet on fire.) After the papers have begun to burn down, light the black or white candle. (The choice of color depends on how you wish to focus on restoring yourself--black represents the energy of transformation and white represents and energy of peace and purification.) Focus on what you'd like to replace the rage with--peace, self-esteem, happiness, or whatever. Let the energy of the new emotions fill you up. Write or draw on a new piece of paper those things that you want to find in yourself and your life now that you've released the poisonous rage that was holding you back. You could even take the ashes from the burnt paper and write the name of the emotion on a new piece of paper to help you focus. Feel the healing begin. When you are comfortably calm again, release the energy of the circle. Visualize it sinking back into the earth as you thank the elements at each direction for watching over you. Thank the Higher Powers for their insight and help. Let the candles burn completely out.
