Bolivar/McFaddin Nude Beach is
located 5
miles north of High Island,Tx
along

will not hit a dead end washed out
beach
road.From the moment you turn
left,you
should clock on your mile meter,3
miles..
that's the distance to the nude
beach area.
When the pavement on the road ends
(1 mile),you will have to drive
about 2 miles
along the make shift road along a
fence,then the pavement on the
road
is starts to be good again,go
about
another
mile.If you have thought you went

around,you keep going until you
see
all
the nudes, you will know you have
arrived!!!
.
FROM HOUSTON
Take I 45 south to Galveston. When in Galveston continue straight down Broadway until you reach the beach. Turn left to Ferry Road, (two stop lights). Left again on Ferry Road to the landing. It takes the free Ferry 13 minutes to travel across Galveston Bay to Bolivar Peninsula.
When you get off the Ferry just keep driving on the same highway you are on when you had gotten off the ferry,
this is Highway 87 (Beach Rd) at the community of Port Bolivar, home of the Bolivar Lighthouse.
Just keep driving about 20 miles to McFaddin Beach, you will see the that the highway ends directing you to go north (left)to High Island, but DO NOT!!!...Keep going straight, ignoring the road barcade saying:
"road cosed do not enter"IGNORE the warning its only for highway
travelers
that don't know our area,so they
will not hit a dead end washed out
beach
road.KEEP GOING STRAIGHT still following the beach coast, you
should clock on your mile meter,3
miles..
that's the distance to the nude
beach area.

(1 mile),you will have to drive
about 2 miles

BEACH CONDITIONS
.
.
The beach conditions can vary from
not having any beachfront at all
during high tides to about 20-30
feet wide.
Sometimes there's clean sand and
shells and other times the beach
is
strewn with washed up rubbish and
debris (sad to say, not all is
washed up but left there
by visitors) and even drilling mud
which is slimy and yuccky but
harmless. Even during high tide
nudists are not discouraged.
Everyone just parks and sets up
their lawn chairs at water's edge.
Most of the time though, you can
safely drive up and down the
beach,just be careful of getting
stuck
in the soft sand of the little
turn-ins.You can sun on the beach
in every month
except February and March when it
was too cold although I have to
admit that the
crowd thins to about one in
December and January.
The old beach road has completely
washed out in many places.It
starts
out
good,then is a dirt/sand road then
is a
simi good paved road again,as soon
as
you hit the paved road again, this
is the
nudist beach area.People I've seen
anywhere from no one to about 200
people on the beach at any given
day.
Weekends are the busiest with an
average about 50-100 in the
afternoon, and for some reason Monday and Tuesday afternoons are just as busy, usually with single men. The beach is popular with family
nudist, there are more nudist families out here this year with their kids than ever before, and many married
couples, and single men and women, gay male couples usaully hang out on the
far end of the beach.
The nude beach is for all,and
especially for "THE FAMILY"The majority of the worlds nude beaches are for the entire family and are family oriented.
There are several nudist groups
and regulars who gather at the center
of the beach on a regular, but I find
the majority of the nudist come
alone or with a friend and just
meet and socialize with individuals
or other couples.
If your new to nudity, don't worry
about going to this type nude
beach, you do not have to be naked if you do not choose to be,and peoplewill not pressure you to be
nude, but I assure you will be less
noticed if you blend in and just
get naked, stay to yourself for a
while until you get comfortable,
sit in your lawn chair, drink a
soda,then FORGET YOU ARE NUDE,it's
a freedom you will always love and
keep, that's all it takes to become a
nudist. Everyone seems to get along
just fine with no hassles. . . .
