Thursday, April 20, 7 p.m. Passover Seder. This is a traditional Jewish Passover meal, done MCC style. The meal is divided into two parts: the ritual meal the dinner. It is believed that the Passover meal was the last meal Jesus ate before His death. Going through this meal will help us better understand how our sacrament of Communion was instituted. There is a $5.00 donation to cover the cost of the special foods. Please call the church for location.
Friday, April 21, 7 p.m. Good Friday Service, at the church. This special Worship Service is traditionally called a Tenebrae Service. In it we re-live the last hours of Jesus' life.
Sunday, April 23, 6:45 a.m. Easter Sunrise Service. Flatrock Park.
Saturday, April 29, 2 p.m. Homosexuality and the Bible workshop at the church. This is study of the verses of the Bible that are used to condemn gays and lesbians. It is divided into three sections, Hebrew (Old) Testament, Greek (New) Testament, and positive Scriptures and role models for gays and lesbians. The workshop lasts for about 3 hours and there is no charge to attend.
