    This is not so much of a diary as it is just thoughts that flit through my mind as I drag the Net or work on my site. Nothing serious, and it probably takes more time to read them than what they're really worth.

    Wheel of Fortune is my favorite show just because of Vanna White's wardrobe. Wouldn't you just love to spend an afternoon playing dress-up in her closet? If I couldn't get into Vanna's closet, a close second would be Daphne on Frasier. She has the exact same taste in skirts and dresses as I do.

    Do you like mathematical games? Consider this. I've seen statistics that say 2% of the men coming to hospital emergency rooms are wearing women's panties. If there are 70,000 fans at an NFL game and only one quarter of those were adult men, there would be 17,500 men at the game. If only 1% were wearing panties, there would be 175 of them. If I was there, I'd be one. So the question is, who are the other 174? The next time you're at the stadium or watching the game on TV {no pun intended *giggle*} see if you can pick them out.

    I guess all I really want to do is own a lingerie shop.

    Holloween will be here before we know it. Does everyone have their costume ready? Will there be anyone dressed as a man?

    All I want for Christmas is ... my two front teeth? Well, what I actually had in mind was more along the lines of a black leather micro-mini skirt, sheer white blouse and the sexiest lingerie you can possibly imagine. Really, Santa, I have been a very good girl this year! {*giggle*} Anyway, I hope that you have all been good girls also and that Santa makes all your wishes come true.

    *Sigh* Christmas is over and Santa didn't bring the leather micro-mini. I did find a place to buy one, however. Teddy's in Columbus, OH. The nice lady behind the counter let me try them on even when I told her I couldn't afford to buy one then. I will definitely save my pennies and go back to get it. I did find a used leather skirt in a resale shop. The woman running the store was very helpful in picking it out, but when I asked if I could try it on, she got real flustered. I guess she's not used to men with mustaches wearing women's clothing. {Isn't there some kind of technical term for that? Oh, right, crossdressers! *giggle*} She decided that she wasn't comfortable letting me try it on, and I decided I didn't want to spend twenty dollars unless I was sure it fit, so I wound up not getting it after all.

    Although I didn't get a leather micro-mini, I did pick up a few other pretties this month. I stopped in another resale shop and found a cute little J. Crew plaid miniskirt and a lovely pastel print spring frock. Total cost for both was less than six dollars. I *love* sales. I'm not sure, but I think the spring dress may have been a bridesmaid dress. Isn't that the way it goes? Always the bridesmaid, but never the bride. I do have my eyes out for a satin bridal gown. I hope to find it sometime in '99.

    While I was Christmas shopping at Penny's, I found a very nice lilac skirt on sale. When I bought it, the saleslady kind of gave me a look. I'm still not sure if she disapproved of men buying skirts, or that she was unhappy because she couldn't fit into a size 8. {Actually, I wasn't sure I could fit into a size 8! I figured it had an elastic waistband and the price was right, so I'd take a chance. It fit great and goes with the blouse I bought a few months ago that didn't go with my other skirts.}

    I'd like to begin the New Year with a quick note of thanks to every one of my girlfriends who stopped in. I especially want to thank those of you who have contributed your favorite places to shop and those who signed the guestbook or sent me fe-mail. I had never dreamed that I would get such a response when I started put this site up. Everyone has been ever so nice and willing to overlook the amateur look of the site. I *do* hope that each and every one of my girlfriends has a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year. {And, if you find a new place to shop in the coming year, you will let me know, won't you?}

    Another Valentines Day come and gone. I really hate to see it go. The week or so before is the best time of year to shop for lingerie. I do hope some of my shyer girlfriends managed to pick up a few flimsies for themselves as they were out and about. I found a lovely satin Morgan Taylor chemise along with two pair of matching string bikinis this year. String bikinis have always been my favorite panties ... well, after thongs {*giggle*}. Over the last couple of months, I've been developing a real fondness for satin panties. I love the way they cling and move with me as I walk. One thing I'm curious about, though. All the satin I find is polyester. Does anyone know what satin was made of before polyester was invented? At any rate, did you notice all the men shopping for lingerie this Valentines Day? I've always wondered just how much lingerie was sold to men for Valentines Day presents, and how much of that was actually received by wives and girlfriends.

    For the first time in months, I wore a pair of men's underwear today. After such a long time in silk thongs and satin string bikinis, Jockey just didn't feel right. Plus which, they don't have that cute little bow in front.

    My goodness. It seems like its been a *long* time since I've written a new entry in Dear Diary. I guess that's only because it has been.

     Not that I've been doing anything interesting with the time. Just working and working and .... sigh. Hardly any time for the fun stuff, like shopping. It seems like ages since I've bought a new dress. I saw a girl flouncing down the street today in a pleated black mini-skirt. I *really* wanted to ask her where she got it and go pick one up myself.

     I did manage to take a few minutes to duck into a lingerie shop the other day and picked up a cute little black lace teddy on sale for $15. It's now my new favorite piece of lingerie.

    Speaking of buying lingerie...I had stopped in a different shop a while ago. I was in driving down one of the main streets in Columbus, Ohio when the word "lingerie" on a sign caught my eye. When I walked in, I was immediately greeted by a beautiful young woman who told me that they did lingerie modeling, and that she'd be happy to model anything in the shop or "just a smile" while I made myself as comfortable as I liked. All for a price of course, $50 for a half hour of modeling. I told her I was just looking for something to buy. While I browsed the merchandise, she'd pick something out and hold it up, asking if my girlfriend would like it or not. After she did this a few times, I told her that, as embarrassing as it was to admit, I was actually looking for lingerie for me. Without skipping a beat, she smiled and said "Great. Then you can model something for me!" She then told me that it really wasn't unusual and that a lot of her customers preferred to model the lingerie while she watched.

    As it turned out, I only had a few dollars with me so I didn't buy anything that day. I went back in a couple of weeks later, and was greeted by the same girl. This time, she helped me pick out a very sexy bustier. It's a lovely emerald green satin with black lace trim. Then we spent another ten minutes looking at matching thongs. I really didn't like any of the thongs, so I didn't buy one, but it was still a *lot* of fun to have a pretty girl looking at panties with me.

    As she wrapped my purchase, she asked again if I'd care to model it for her. As I told her, I'd love to, but if I had the extra $50, I'd probably rather spend it on more lingerie. At any rate, it does provide another fantasy when I wear it.

    Even though they don't care who buys or wears their lingerie, and the prices are reasonable, I've been a little reluctant to add this shop simply because it seemed so mercenary. However, it does occur to me that many cities have lingerie modeling studios. I would imagine that one would get pretty much the same reaction in any of those as I got here. So, if you're stuck for a place to shop, you might want to try one.

    Such pretty dresses out this year!  I *love* the short skirts and spaghetti straps.  I really need to go do a major shopping expedition to add to my wardrobe.  Now, if I could only win the lottery to pay for it all!

    Goodness gracious.  It's already been a year since I first put this site up, and the positive response has been overwhelming.  Overall, in the first year, the very nice people at eXTReMe Tracking told me that just about 30 thousand of my girlfriends came to visit.  Many of them told me (and you *giggle*) about their favorite places to shop all over the country.  I'd love to visit them all.  When I win the lottery, I'm going on the biggest cross country {crossdressing} shopping spree ever!  At any rate, many thanks to all who stopped in to visit, to sign the guestbook and to send a fe'mail.  To celebrate the page's anniversary, I {*suprise*} went shopping today.  I picked up a pair of black thigh highs with the cutest satin bows on top and a beautiful purple satin bustier.  Now I just need to find matching panties and a garter belt and I'll be all set.  Again, thanks to everyone for visiting and happy shopping!

    Ah, goodness.  Halloween came and went and I never even got to slip on something pretty for the occasion.  I tell you girlfriend, I've been working too hard.  I haven't even had time to do any shopping...well, I did stop in a department store to pick out some new panties.  They were made by St. Eve, a brand I've never worn before, but I just love now.  I got two string bikinis and a thong and they all fit beautifully.  I'm definitely planning to pick up a few more pairs.  Other than that, it's been dull.  I had to go out of town for a while.  I passed by two lingerie stores that I *really* wanted to go into.  Unfortunately, my boss was with me everytime, and I just couldn't see myself saying, "Gee, Boss, how about we duck in here for a moment so I can pick myself out a new teddy."  Next time, I'm going to have to get out on my own.

    Goodness gracious, has it been since before Thanksgiving since my last little note?  I do believe so.  Unfortunately, I've had to do way too much work in the last couple of months and its cut into my internet time.  At any rate, did everyone buy themselves some nice presents for Christmas?  I managed to pick up a skirt and a cute bra and panty set over at Ross (total cost, about $12 --  They do have great prices there!)  and just before Christmas, I bought three more St. Eve thongs.  These are really great panties.  I've hardly worn anything else for the last month.  I think they may be a house brand for Robinson-May department store, as I haven't seen them anywhere else.

    If you came in on the front page, you probably saw my new address -- www.silk-n-lace.com.  It really is neat of FortuneCity to do that for me.  It just happened a couple days ago. To celebrate, I.....went shopping!  I stopped by a Payless shoes today, as I had received several recommendations for them.  This one carried women's shoes up to 12W.  I found a cute pair of high-heeled strappy sandals for only $15.  And, I've got a little more shopping planned.  Somewhere out in the distance, I've been hearing a little voice saying "Buy me, buy me".  I'm pretty sure it's a pink lace babydoll nightie and I intend to rescue it from a cold store and give it a loving home just as soon as I can find it.

    Goodness, it's been a long time since I've updated, hasn't it.  I do apologize.  Time has seemed to have gotten away from me.  Valentine's Day has passed us again, and I do hope you all bought yourself something silky to celebrate it in.  Spring is coming, with its flouncy dresses and sexy sandals.  But, remember, let's not wear white until after Easter.  After all, we must be ladies.

    If you've been a longtime girlfriend, you've probably noticed it's been a long time since I've updated this site. I've had quite a bit of stuff happen over the last year and honestly have barely been able to keep up with all of it. Unfortunately, work on this site was something that I just wasn't able to fit in. With any kind of luck, things may be slowing down and I'll be able to do a little more here. I've gotten a few fe'mails and guestbook entries which I've tried to keep up. Alas, I wasn't always successful. If your was one that I didn't answer, I do apologize and hope you won't hold it against me. I'll try to do better in the future.
