The Southeast regional US director - Carole Benowitz was here March of 1998 to establish the Chattahoochee Valley Chapter of   PFLAG.  PFLAG meetings are held the second Monday of each and every month at the Temple Israel Synagogue on Wildwood Ave. in Columbus, Georgia. Great OUTdoors PRIDE Group:

The purpose of the Great OUTdoors Pride Group is to have fun. We want to give the Gay and Lesbian Community chance to socialize outside of the bars. Our objective is to become a fun organization for the Gay and Lesbian community in the Columbus and Phenix City area. We would like your input on activities you would like to see Scheduled. If you are interested in leading and organizing an activity please let us know. Books A Million:

Has a good section of gay books, also a friendly atmosphere in the coffee house.

PTL:

The only gay bar that Columbus, Georgia has. It is located on 1st Ave in downtown Columbus.  Friday and Saturday are the best nights to go.  There is a drag show on Wednesday nights.
